Yes, if your child or teen has been the victim of a crime, they may be eligible for their therapy to be covered by the Victim Compensation Fund. I do accept this form of insurance and often work with kids and teens who are recovering from a traumatic event.
I do not bill any insurance companies directly. Clients pay out of pocket or from their HSA (health savings account) for services. I can provide a "superbill" - a monthly receipt showing what you have paid for you to submit to your insurance. Some clients are eligible for reimbursement from their insurance company. I recommend that you check with your insurance company to find out if you are eligible for reimbursement from them to see me - I would be referred to as an "out of network provider."
I recommend calling your insurance provider and asking for a list of therapists that are on their panel. This can help shorten the search.
